Gem Scones

  • one cupful and a half plain flour or wheatmeal
  • one cupful milk
  • one salt-spoonful salt
  • one tablespoonful butter
  • one egg


    1. Cut the butter into the flour.
    2. Beat up the egg and salt.
    3. Pour the milk into the egg then beat it into the flour.
    4. Pour the mixture into hot greased gem pan and bake for a quarter of an hour in a moderate oven.
