First broadcast on 3 August 1968 on TCN-9, this episode of Bandstand strayed from the usual format of the show to present the popular American duo the Everly Brothers performing live at the Chequers Nightclub in Sydney. During the 1950s and 60s, Chequers played host to some of the biggest acts to visit Australia and for many years it was the place to see and be seen.
